Since joining Colliers, James has worked on a number of highest and best use site appraisals, operator search and selections, hotel valuations (individual assets and portfolios) and hotel investment / brokerage projects throughout the MENA region. James specializes in complex operator selection processes, whether it is a multi-brand complex of 5,000 keys in Makkah or a framework agreement for a roll-out of 10 properties in the UAE. Most recently, James led one of the largest operator search and selection processes globally in KSA, involving 20+ hotels and 60+ brands simultaneously.

Prior to joining Colliers in 2013, James worked in hotel brokerage, valuation and consultancy in Ireland where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).

He was involved in a number of multi-million-euro hotel and leisure transactions to include city center properties, resorts and golf courses. He has extensive experience in the provision of strategic advice and valuations on behalf of many of the UK & Ireland’s largest financial and banking institutions.

Business and educational background

James holds an MSc in Real Estate from University of Glasgow and is a qualified chartered surveyor (MRICS).

James has worked with various independent hotels in UK and Ireland as well as consultancy firms such as Savills and DTZ before joining Colliers.
